Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are an alternative and durable long-term solution for the restoration of back teeth with minor to moderate decay. An inlay is similar to a traditional amalgam filling in that it is placed within the cusps of the chewing surface of your back teeth, whereas an onlay is used to restore a larger surface area and may cover one or more tooth cusps.
Several attributes have led to the increased use of inlays and onlays. They are a more conservative option than a full crown, which is utilised when minimal tooth structure remains. Inlays and onlays are not only functional but because they are crafted from porcelain, they are also very natural looking.
