Emergency Services

Emergency dental care appointments are available in cases where patients are experiencing severe discomfort or when they break a tooth or filling. We endeavour to see all of our regular patients who have genuine emergencies within 24 hours. We have many time-slots set aside for emergencies each day to accommodate this extra level of care we feel is important for our patient’s time of need.

Patients who regularly attend the surgery for regular check-ups will find that they are less likely to need emergency dental care as small problems are fixed early, and prevented from escalating to larger and time-consuming treatments. Most of the emergency appointments have been used to attend to:

• Patients who have prolonged their decision to remove infected wisdom teeth.
• Patients who delay proper treatment such as root canal therapy or crowns when indicated prior.
• New patients, usually referred by a family member or friend, for the above reasons.
